Biofilm formation is an important problem in the healthcare industry and veterinary medicine very common natural, industrial or hospital environments. Microorganisms can become resistant to antimicrobials environmental factors by biofilm forming on biotic abiotic surfaces. Candida species are opportunistic pathogenic yeasts cause superficial disseminated infections. Especially C. glabrata one of most microorganisms causing fungal infections immunocompromised patients drug resistance observed when associated with biofilm. Tyrosol (2-[4-hydroxyphenyl] ethanol) act as both quorum sensing molecule exogenous agent species. In this study, antifungal activity tyrosol against clinical isolate was investigated planktonic forms. Broth microdilution test results demonstrated inhibitory effect glabrata.
